March 28, 2019 – Hughes Hubbard partner Robert Bell and associate Kristin Millay received a Concurrences Antitrust Writing Award for their article, The Corporate Leniency Program: Did The Antitrust Division Kill The Goose That Laid The Golden Eggs?

This prestigious award recognizes the most meaningful antitrust publications of 2018 and was made by a Jury of enforcers, private practitioners and academics led by Professor Bill Kovacic from George Washington University.

The article discusses the abrupt decline in criminal antitrust fines that began in 2016 and posits that one of the primary reasons for the downturn is that leniency applicants have been deterred by a series of changes that the Antitrust Division has made to its corporate leniency program.
