We are very proud to announce that Serena Cabrita Neto, a partner from PLMJ Tax, has been recognised on the Iberian Lawyer InspiraLAw Top 50 Women List. This initiative was organised by Iberian Lawyer and the awards ceremony was held in Madrid.

Through InspiraLAw – Women Lawyers Leading Change, the prestigious Spanish legal publication, Iberian Lawyer, recognises those who are inspiring the next generation of female lawyers in Portugal and Spain. These 50 women were chosen by votes from their peers and from clients. The votes recognised not only their excellence, quality and degree of specialisation in the legal market, but also their capacity to deal with change and to inspire new generations of professionals in this area.

Besides these awards, InspiraLAw – Women Lawyers Leading Change seeks to introduce and create contacts between leading professionals in the legal field, including lawyers in private practice, in-house lawyers and law students, to allow them to exchange views on their concerns about the changes and the demands they face, and to discuss the future of the legal profession for women. In total, more than 500 professionals took part in this process and, among them, 10 Portuguese women were recognised, including the PLMJ lawyer.

For Serena Cabrita Neto "above all, this award serves to stimulate the debate inside institutions about the greatest challenges in the legal profession for women, in order to find solutions that will create the right environment for women to rise to positions of leadership."
