Hamilton, Bermuda November 2017 – Stephanie Sanderson, Partner in the Corporate Department at BeesMont Law, has been recognised by IFLR1000 as a Leading Lawyer Rising Star based on transactional evidence as well as peer and client feedback. Stephanie practices in all areas of corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on investment funds, mergers and acquisitions, corporate re-organisations, cross-border transactions, international tax transparency law, corporate governance, compliance (including AML/ATF) and regulatory matters. She has been the Chairman of the Bermuda Industry/Government Joint Committee on FATCA and CRS, which also deals with OECD BEPS issues including country-by-country reporting, since 2015.

Stephanie's recent transactional highlights include: advising Sibanye Gold Limited in connection with the approx. US$294 million acquisition of Aquarius Platinum Limited; advising CMOC Mining Pty Ltd. in connection with its US$2.65 billion acquisition of indirect interest of Freeport McMoRan in Tenke Fungurume copper-cobalt mine; and advising the Bermuda Ministry of Finance with Deloitte on its Government Tax Information Reporting Solution Project in respect of automatic exchange of information.
