May 20, 2017, New Delhi, India - S.S. Rana & Co. recently won the Great Places to Work Certification Program and can now proudly be called 'Great Place to Work-CertifiedTM'!!!

Every year, more than 8000 organizations from over 50 countries partner with Great Place to Work Institute for assessment, benchmarking and planning actions to strengthen their workplace culture. Great Place to Work Certification Program is the first step for an organization in its journey to build a High-Trust, High-Performance Culture. At S.S. Rana & Co., the firm believes that it is time to rethink the concept of 'employee engagement'. The milestone was not achieved because of a two month evaluation process that the firm had to undergo, but, because of the regular management development, motivational workshops, sports events and activities that the firm conducts for all its employees. It believes that the primary reason for being certified was because of its holistic vision of creating a workplace free of any discrimination. The firm is constantly evolving, and diversity and inclusion are among the most important forces driving that evolution and reinvention. One can view the firm's diversity report prepared by the HR department on its official website over here. "Thus, speaking from experience", says Managing Partner, Vikrant Rana, "a proper way to go about with the certification is to have an overall track record of successful employee engagement policies in the past couple of years before applying".

The Certification Process

During the course of the assessment, the firm was provided with an online dashboard to manage the assessment process and all other ancillary communications between the firm and the Great Place To Work® Institute. All in all, the process involved a few stages, the first of which was to identify the Assessment Scope. In the said Assessment Scope, an organization is required to schedule a call with a representative from Great Place To Work® Institute, who depending on the kind of industry, will define the depth of the insights to be provided. The next step was the Employee Trust Index Survey, in which the firm's employees were surveyed through an online questionnaire to measure their perceptions about the workplace. The final stage, and the most time consuming one was the Culture Audit©. This was also an online questionnaire through which the Great Place To Work® Institute studies various people related management practices in the firm. "The certification process was quite an innovative one in the sense that it eliminated the need to physically verify the premises, without doing away with transparency and accountability of the certification process", adds Kiran Dhameja, Assistant Manager, Human Resources at S.S. Rana & Co.

The firm hopes to make great strides in surpassing its own culture assessment results in the future and keep raising the bar for itself in the years to come.
