On July 19, the Belgian Federal Parliament adopted a law allowing class actions in Belgium
for GDPR infringements (source document in French and Dutch). Class
actions in Belgium are open not only to consumers but also to small
and medium-size undertakings. The law still needs to be published
in the official journal, but the provision about class action for
GDPR infringements will apply retroactively as of May 25.
