On November 24, 2016, the Privacy Commission issued a press
release (source document in French and Dutch) explaining that the use and third-party
offering of anonymized location data by a telecommunications
operator did not infringe the telecommunication law. The decision
is subject to the conditions that the data is sufficiently
aggregated and that underlying data is not used in the process.
