As of 28 February 2013, the authority to grant Land Titles and for Land Registration will change under Head of BPN Regulation No. 2 of 2013 which was issued on 28 January 2013 (Regulation 2/2013). Regulation 2/2013 gives the Head of the Regional/Provincial BPN and Head of the Regency/Municipality BPN greater authority for granting Land Titles and Land Registration activities. Regulation 2/2013 also specifies who is the authorized signatory for land registration related activities ie the Head of Section for Survey, Measurement and Mapping and Head of Land Office with their respective representatives (to sign on their behalf).
