The Nevada State Athletic Commission will file formal complaints against MMA fighters Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor after a brawl broke out after their bout on Saturday October 6, 2018. After his victory, Nurmagomedov jumped over the octagon cage and to fight a member of McGregor's entourage, which sparked the ensuing melee. The Nevada State Athletic Commission's primary function is to regulate unarmed combat within the State of Nevada. As part of the investigation, the Commission will withhold Nurmagomedov's $2 million for the fight. It is worth noting that the Commission has already paid McGregor his $3 million purse. Nurmagomedov is facing a fine or suspension and the Commission will likely hold disciplinary hearings before the end of November. There is much hype surrounding a potential rematch as this last bout is on pace to be the most watched MMA fight ever.
