Green and Spiegel is pleased to announce Practice Director  Jonathan Grode has been named to the National Law Journal's inaugural list of Immigration Trailblazers. The National Law Journal's Immigration Trailblazers list recognizes those who have "moved the needle in facilitating the ever-changing immigration policies" and are making "great strides in the fight for justice".  Founded in 1978, the National Law Journal reports legal information and analysis across several disciplines throughout the United States, considered by many to be among the country's top legal publications.

Jonathan was recognized in part for his most notable work representing the Syrian-American Assali family, who were stranded outside the United States following the institution of the Travel Ban in January 2017. Jonathan was also recognized as a leader in helping organizations applying for business visas for their international employees. Jonathan's practice also includes assisting the specific needs of start-ups and universities building incubators in crafting proactive immigration solutions to help "stimulate foreign direct investment in the United States".

This is the second major award bestowed upon Jonathan this year. In June, Jonathan was named a "Distinguished Leader" by The Legal Intelligencer, recognizing his leadership and impressive results at the head of Green and Spiegel's U.S. operations.
