On March 2, 2018, Counsel William Thomashower will be a featured speaker at the 15th annual Howard Law School Institute for Intellectual Property and Social Justice (IIPSJ) CLE, to be held in Washington, D.C. 

Thomashower will present a lecture entitled "Registering 'Disparaging' and 'Scandalous' Marks: Ethical Considerations 2018 – Do We Know It When We See It?" and will participate in a roundtable discussion of "The Aftermath of In re Tam," a June 2017 decision of the U.S. Supreme Court which invalidated the portion of the Lanham Act which prohibited registration of any trademark which "may disparage" any person or institution.
