It is with great pleasure and sadness to announce that Green and Spiegel attorney Caleb U. Arnold, will be leaving the firm to join the Philadelphia District Attorney's office. Caleb was hired by the District Attorney's office to work specifically on developing a policy to protect immigrants accused of nonviolent crimes. Caleb's new role includes developing best practices and training assistant district attorneys to ensure that the new preventative policy is applied office-wide. At the press conference announcing the appointment, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner stated the goal of the new policy was to assure that immigrants — both legal and undocumented — are "treated fairly" by the criminal justice system.

At Green and Spiegel, Caleb's practice focused on family-based immigration where she led the Firm's day-to-day practice. Caleb is also actively involved in the LGBTQ and disability communities and regularly represents clients in immigration-related matters. Caleb was an avid blogger within the firm, writing on many social justice issues such as DACA, DREAMERS and marriage equality.

Attorney Emily Brown, a recent addition to the Green and Spiegel firm, will assume the lead role managing our family-based immigration practice.

Best wishes to Caleb on this exciting opportunity!
