DOE Task Force Issues Draft Voluntary Code Of Conduct

On January 12, 2015, the DOE and the Federal Smart Grid Task
Force issued their final Voluntary Code of Conduct ("VCC"),
which contains recommendations concerning privacy of data enabled
by smart grid technologies and applies to utilities and third
parties providing consumer energy use services. The VCC outlines
five "core concepts" that "are intended to apply as
high level principles of conduct."
