Bridget La Rosa was featured in City Bar Justice Association article "The Purpose of PELP: Protecting New Yorkers on the Edge of Poverty from Losing Assets – and Making Them Feel Valued Along the Way." Full text can be found in the August 25, 2015, issue, but a synopsis is below.

Fox Rothschild Partner Bridget La Rosa is a Planning and Estates Law Project (PELP) Volunteer. PELP is a clinic that provides legal services for low-income clients who might not otherwise be able to afford legal advice.

PELP assists their clients in matters such as helping a bereaved relative sort out the details of a will, hang onto a house that's been in the family for several generations, stand up to a bully or access a bank account that yields a small—but sometimes crucial—inheritance of several thousand dollars that can make a big difference for New Yorkers living close to the financial edge.

The content of this article is intended to provide a general guide to the subject matter. Specialist advice should be sought about your specific circumstances.
