In response to the threat of COVID-19 in the United States, governors across the nation issued orders closing businesses.

These ranged from broad shelter-in-place orders, permitting only essential businesses to operate, to narrower orders closing only certain establishments thought to have a higher risk of spreading the virus.  Some states have now begun to reopen their economies, and others have put forth plans outlining how they intend to do so.
