Effective January 1, 2015, the employer mandate of the Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act requires employers with 100 or
more full-time employees (or full-time equivalents) to provide
affordable health care coverage for at least 70% of its employees
or be subject to "shared responsibility" payments to the
IRS.
