Negotiations between the teachers union and school board in the Saucon Valley School District will be entering the next phase of their three year saga Wednesday morning in a nonbinding arbitration hearing. The Saucon Valley School Board and the education association will present information regarding the terms and conditions of employment for union members as well as the results of negotiations leading up to each side's best contract offers.
With backing from two school board members, Superintendent Monica McHale-Small and Jeffrey Sultanik, a partner in the Labor and Employment department of the Montgomery County office of Fox Rothschild, will be the official representative and presenter for the district at the hearing.
Sultanik mentioned that the arbitrator's services following the hearing could cost anywhere between one and two thousand dollars per day.
