FinanceMalta, in collaboration with GANADO Advocates, will be participating in the 21st Annual Global ABS, the largest annual European structured finance gathering which will see over 3,500 industry leaders and market participants. The event is organised by AFME and IMN and will be held in Barcelona between the 6th and 8th June 2017.

This year's programme will closely examine the impact of major global regulatory initiatives and political developments, and how the securitisation market will adapt to these volatile times. Other topics include Brexit and its impact on UK and EU financial markets, and the Global Regulatory Watch: what it all means, where are we in the process, and where is it headed? Delegates will also be discussing the future of the Eurozone within global capital markets, the end of quantitative easing, bank and alternative lending, securitisation, risk retention and ensuring gender equality in structured finance. Different to previous years, Global ABS will feature a full day's coverage on European NPLs, called the 'NPLs Fast Track', taking place on 8th June.

Participants at this year's Annual Global ABS will be able to meet up with representatives of the regulatory community, participate in key policy and client networking discussions, and continue to focus on ways to rebuild the European securitisation market for sound growth and performance in the future.

Commenting about this event, Nicholas Curmi,  from GANADO Advocates' securitisation practice, who will be addressing a panel on the first day entitled, "STS" Primer: What it Means for the European and International ABS Market, said that "GANADO is proud to be participating once again with FinanceMalta in this leading structured finance event". Ivan Grech, Head of Business Development at FinanceMalta, explained that "Global ABS is one of the most important securitisation fora in Europe, where FinanceMalta look forward to continue supporting this important and growing market."

Delegates interested in learning more about what Malta has to offer the securitisation market can visit the joint FinanceMalta and GANADO Advocates stand at Global ABS throughout the three days.  More information about the event is available on http://www.financemalta.org/events/event/global-abs-2017/
