This year, our association with Bilim Kahramanları Derneği (Science Heroes Association), the Turkish partner of FIRST® LEGO® League, gave us the opportunity to support Second World Team students from Lapseki Plevne Middle School at the FIRST LEGO League Challenge tournament. These young scientists were awarded second place in the Core Values category at the First Middle School Regional Tournament.

At the end of a long and hard-working school year, these brilliant minds and their teachers visited our offices during their short trip to Istanbul in the month of June. It was a pleasure to get to know them, answer their questions on how to protect patent, trademark, and design rights in Türkiye and to introduce them to the legal profession concerning intellectual property rights.

It was quite entertaining to hear from their teacher that although the students visited Istanbul's major world-known cultural sights during their trip, the item that they were most interested in was the antique typewriter that they saw in our offices.

During their visit, we were delighted to extend gifts from World Wild Fund (WWF) Türkiye – Doğal Hayatı Koruma Derneği to these successful young scientists. We proudly support WWF Türkiye as part of our social responsibility efforts and provide them legal services, pro bono. Having heard about our support of these young scientists and their success story, WWF Türkiye decided to gift them WWF handbags and beach towels, which we are sure they had the opportunity to enjoy during their summer holidays! We would like to take this opportunity to thank WWF Türkiye for their consideration and generosity.

As the new academic year starts, we are truly happy to announce that we will continue supporting students from Lapseki Plevne Middle School this year and we wish them all the success!
