March 2020 – Victor Constantinescu, Managing Partner of Kinstellar's Bucharest office and Co-head of the firm-wide Real Estate sector, participated as a guest speaker in an online panel discussion focusing on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the real estate market organised by Property Forum Events, a leading CEE real estate platform. The "Coronavirus and Property Investments" online panel took place on 31 March and enjoyed a high level of attendance: more than 500 people from 36 countries logged on to hear the discussion and interact with the panellists.

Victor was invited to share his views on the challenges and opportunities in the real estate market in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic together with a stellar cast of panel members: Hannes Wimmer (Erste Group Bank AG), Luke Dawson (Colliers International), Adrian Karczewicz (Skanska), Noah Steinberg FRICS (WING), and Gijs Klomp MRICS (CBRE).

Among the key issues that the organisers advanced for debate were: "Are we really looking at the worst recession since WWII?"; "When will the market bounce back?"; "Which assets and asset classes will be the most resilient?"; and "Lease compromise strategies – tenant requests and landlord actions".

Victor comments: "This was a very informative interaction and exchange of honest views from an all-star cast. The consensus view is optimism that this will pass with steady leadership."
