Rent Subsidy Regulations Published

Through Legal Notice 187, new Rent Subsidy Regulations were
published, which Regulations came into effect as from
1 February 2020. The Regulations provide for subsidy
assistance to eligible undertakings requiring support to rent
industrial space for developing a business activity. The aid shall
not exceed ?25,000 per annum and shall
cover up to 50% of the cost of the rental. The scheme is
administered by Malta Enterprise. The Regulations make reference to
terms and conditions set out in Guidelines, yet to be published by
Malta Enterprise. The deadline for submission of applications for
assistance is 31 December 2022.
