The evolution of real estate: set against a backdrop of global political change, how is real estate helping to meet global challenges?

Ogier partner Sophie Reguengo will chair a panel at Jersey Finance's Annual London Funds Conference considering some of the major initiatives impacting the funds sector and the increasingly global outlook of funds professionals.

The session will examine initiatives that are creating caution – and considering how they can be mitigated - as well as the impact of capital gains tax (CGT) rules and the importance of tax transparency in structuring.

Sophie, an investment funds and regulatory specialist, will be joined by panellists including Martin Rowley from Deloitte, Kate Binedell from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP), James Silverton from the Government of Jersey and Jesdev Saggar from Sidra Capital.

The Ogier-sponsored September Funds event entitled "Beyond Boundaries" will see more than 500 funds practitioners join together to discuss hot topics and key trends in the industry. The event will include break-out sessions and cover topics from shifts in regulation and distribution, to the rising trends in the alternatives sector.

Sophie Reguengo will be joined at the conference by partner Emily Haithwaite and senior associate Tatiana Collins.

The conference will be held at Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Tuesday 10th September.
