In line with the priorities set out in its FinTech Roadmap, last
month, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published a report on
the impact of FinTech on the business of payment institutions (PIs)
and electronic money institutions (EMIs) on the basis of the
information collected by the EBA through its engagement with the
supervisory authorities, the industry and the EBA FinTech Knowledge
Hub.
The Report is not intended to set models for future
developments. Rather, it aims at better understanding the ongoing
changes in the payment industry and enhancing knowledge among
regulators, supervisors and market players.
