The Channel Islands Aircraft Registry, the 2-REG, has passed another major milestone with the registration of its first corporate jet, a Gulfstream GIV.

The aircraft, with registration mark 2-TRAV, has been entered on the register on behalf of a Channel-Islands based company.

In close coordination between the aircraft owner, the operator ExecuJet Aviation Group and 2-REG, the transfer from the previous registry to the 2-REG went very smoothly and swiftly.

Simultaneous with the registration a whole range of other activities are being performed, including a review for operational approval, an aircraft airworthiness survey and aircraft records review.

2-REG Executive Director Wim Ovaa said: "The continued success of 2-REG is underlined with the entry of the first corporate jet. We are particularly pleased that a Channel-Islands based company opted to be the first and transfer their aircraft to 2-REG."

The end of April also saw 2-REG welcome its second Airbus A319 registration. The off-lease aircraft has been placed on the register at the request of a world-leading lessor.
