Fees in private notary offices may differ from one to the other. General rules lay down the maximum levels for fees, frequently as a function of the value of an agreement. Maximum levels are set as follows for amounts of

up to 10,000 Zlotys (100 mln old Zlotys)       3%
up to 20,000 Zlotys (200 mln old Zlotys)       300 Zlotys (3 mln old 
                                               Zlotys) + 2% over 
                                               10,000 Zlotys (100 mln 
                                               old Zlotys)
up to 50,000 Zlotys (500 mln old Zlotys)       500 Zlotys (5 mln old 
                                               Zlotys) + 1% over 
                                               20,000 Zlotys (200 mln 
                                               old Zlotys)
above 50,000 Zlotys (500 mln old Zlotys)       800 Zlotys (8 mln old 
                                               Zlotys) + 0.5% over 
                                               50,000 Zlotys (500 mln 
                                               old Zlotys)
