The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has announced the arrangements for the renewal of registrations in the Public Register of Certified Persons (the "public register") for 2018. Paragraph 17(1) of Directive 174(I)/2015 regarding the Certification of Persons and the Certification Registers requires persons registered in the public register to renew their registration by the end of February each year.

Renewal is effected via the CySEC website on payment of the renewal fee of €80 and confirmation of having met the prescribed requirements regarding continued professional training.

Individuals who joined the Public Register in 2017 for the first time do not need to renew their registration in 2018.

In accordance with paragraphs 20 and 21 of Directive 174(I)/2015, certified persons who do not renew their registration by the due date will be automatically deleted from the Public Register and will have to re-register.
