The Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced that it is lifting the visa requirement for UAE citizens on June 5, 2018. Their evaluation found that the UAE meets Canada's criteria for a visa exemption.

As of June 5, 2018, Emirati citizens will no longer need a visa to travel to Canada for short stays (normally for up to six months) for business, to visit family and friends or for tourism.

Emirati citizens, similar to other visa-exempt travellers, will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to, or transit through, a Canadian airport. All foreign nationals from visa-exempt countries travelling to Canada by air must first obtain an eTA. The eTA is valid for up to 5 years or upon the expiry date of your passport, whichever is sooner.
