The Canada-U.S. border will remain closed for a further month as part of measures to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the announcement in a news conference on Tuesday.
The original agreement, reached between Canada and the U.S. in March, was due to expire on May 21 but has been extended until June 21.
It means the border is closed to 'non-essential' traffic.
