Effective June 22, 2020, the BC Human Rights Tribunal (the "Tribunal") has introduced a new case management system, called the Case Activity Centre, and made significant changes to the case management process.  The new Case Activity Centre allows parties to view case information, and make requests and applications online.

The Tribunal has begun the process of digitizing existing cases with the goal of streamlining how parties can manage and get information about their case, as well as allowing parties to submit and deliver document through the Case Activity Centre.  Parties will also be able to view complaint forms from a computer or smartphone.

Further, revisions to the Rules of Practice and Procedure will allow parties to submit certain forms online and deliver documents through the Case Activity Centre - by providing notice - where other parties also has an account.

The Tribunal has made these changes with the goal of improving access to information and making the document delivery and submission process faster and easier in an increasingly online environment.
