Milbank was invited as the exclusive co-host of Morgan
Stanley's inaugural Brazilian Debt IPO Conference, which was
held on July 26-27, 2018 in New York City. The conference was
designed to educate a select group of twelve large Brazilian
companies, each of them leading players in the respective
industries, about the international bond markets. The conference
included attendees from Burger King, Nubank, WEG, CCR, Kroton and
Unigel. It covered various aspects of a first time access of
Brazilian companies to the US debt capital markets, including the
rating process, currency hedge structures, pricing and market
dynamics as well as legal, regulatory aspects. Milbank partners
Tobias Stirnberg and Fabiana Sakai participated as panelists on
"Main Steps and General Legal Considerations for a Bond
Issuance."
