On September 29th, ANP launched the pre-bid invitation and draft concession agreement for the 4th Marginal Fields Bid Round. The bid round is scheduled to occur on March 24th, 2017 and the areas offered are: Garça Branca, Rio Doce, Rio Mariricu (in the Espírito Santo Basin), Iraúna, Noroeste do Morro Rosado, Urutau (Potiguar Basin), Araçás Leste, Itaparica, Jacumirim and Vale do Quiricó (Recôncavo Basin). These areas are located in mature basins, offering opportunities for small- and medium-sized oil companies. Three (3) pre selected areas by ANP (Riacho Alazão, Conceição da Barra e Fazenda Sori) were not offered for technical and environmental issues.
The pre-bid invitation and draft concession agreement are available for public consultation and comments can be sent until November, 14th on the following link http://www.brasil-rounds.gov.br/Round4_AM/portugues_R4AM/pre_edital.asp. The public hearing is expected to occur on November 21st and, after that, the ANP shall publish the final versions of the documents, expected to occur still in 2016.
