New visa pilot to attract the best of global talent to Australia
Highly skilled workers from around the world will have a new visa pathway into Australia as a part of the Government's new Global Talent Scheme pilot program. From 1 July all businesses will be able to sponsor highly skilled and specialised workers who will help to grow their businesses and create more jobs. The GTS is a niche pilot scheme under the TSS visa program (29 June 2018).

Skilled Migration Points Test increase from 1 July
The Turnbull Government is restoring the Skilled Migration Points Test to 65 points from 60 points from 1 July. The changes will apply to three unsponsored permanent residence visas: Subclass 189 – Independent skilled, Subclass 190 – Skilled nominated visa and Subclass 489 – Skilled regional (Provisional) visa (01 July 2018).

Australian Visa Fees Changes from 1 July 2018
The Migration Amendment (Visa Application Charges) Regulations 2018 will amend the Migration Regulations 1994. Specifically to Visa Application Charges (VAC) that will apply to applications made on or after 1 July 2018.
