Caymanian litigation expert William Jones has been appointed as partner in Ogier's Cayman Islands Dispute Resolution team.

Described in Legal 500 Caribbean as "industrious and meticulous - a litigation heavyweight", William has worked on many of the most important cases in Cayman, with a practice covering commercial litigation, trusts disputes and contentious insolvency matters. His commercial litigation practice encompasses contractual disputes, insurance claims and local commercial disputes.

William has been instrumental in the growth of the Ogier practice, with the Cayman team in particular seeing exponential recruitment over the past two years in response to the growth in workflow.

Global Head of Dispute Resolution and Trust Disputes Rachael Reynolds said: "We are delighted to welcome Will to the partnership. Will is a home-grown success story, first joining Ogier as a trainee in 2003, and is now recognised as a leader and expert in his field by colleagues and clients alike, thanks to both his technical expertise and unrivalled knowledge of the Cayman market."
