The Covid-19 outbreak is unprecedented, not least for the way it has impacted every part of the globe, but also because of the sheer speed with which it has had far reaching implications on the global economy, on public policy and on the operations of businesses of all sizes and across sectors.

As a firm we are, first and foremost, focused on protecting the health and wellbeing of our people in the 23 countries in which we operate around the world, while ensuring we maintain our ability to provide the very highest quality of service to our clients as they navigate these uncertain times.

Since the outbreak started in January we have, led by global and regional response teams, been monitoring the situation around the world closely and making decisions based on official advice from the relevant government and health authorities in all of our locations - going further where we believe it is the responsible thing to do.

We have prepared extensively to ensure we can maintain service levels as we operate a remote working model. Currently the majority of our people are working from home or operating on a split team basis and our systems are secure and operating well to support uninterrupted service to our clients. We are also utilising the scale and spread of our global network to full effect.

Like many organisations we also introduced restrictions on international travel and were proactive in postponing all large congregation events ahead of government restrictions being put in place. We are using technology as an alternative where appropriate.

To help our clients access the legal advice and support they need in light of the developing situation, we have set up a Covid-19 desk which brings together partners from across disciplines and our sectors across the firm.

Moreover, to ensure our clients and others are equipped with the very latest legal updates in regard to the Covid-19 outbreak, we have launched a Coronavirus Information Hub on our website which provides insights from our experts on how the outbreak is impacting the sectors we serve.

If you have any questions about how we continue to manage our operations to deal with the ongoing impact Covid-19 is having or to discuss how we can help you in any way, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Covid-19 desk or your usual Clyde & Co contact.

We stand ready to support clients around the world in these unprecedented times.
