The National LGBT Bar Association has named Arnold & Porter senior associate Elliott Mogul to its 2020 "40 Best LGBTQ+ Attorneys Under 40" list, which recognizes LGBTQ+ legal professionals who have "distinguished themselves in their field and demonstrated a strong commitment to LGBTQ+ equality." The award will be presented to the honorees at the 2020 Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair in Washington, DC.

Mogul's practice focuses on complex civil litigation at the federal trial and appellate levels, where he represents financial institutions, government entities, manufacturers, and other clients in need of his experience in all aspects of litigation. His practice regularly includes initial claim and defense assessment, drafting and arguing motions, trial, drafting appellate briefs and preparing for oral argument, working with experts, and managing discovery teams.

He also has an active pro bono practice in which he represents clients in litigation seeking remedies for violations of their constitutional rights. Currently, Mogul is leading an Arnold & Porter pro bono team representing a transgender teacher in litigation asserting Title VII hostile work environment and retaliation claims against a public school system.
