Planes, trains and automobiles (as well as motor carriers and ocean vessels) are Julie's wheelhouse. For the past 15 years, Julie has represented clients across the country on all matters related to transportation and commercial litigation. Julie is a leader of the Firm's cargo transportation practice, representing brokers, carriers, freight forwarders, consignees, consignors and warehouses (among others) in matters ranging from litigation to contract drafting to consultation regarding regulatory compliance and business-minded initiatives. Julie serves as national transportation counsel to some of the largest transportation providers in the country.

As the youngest of 10 siblings, born and raised in Wisconsin, Julie self-financed undergraduate, graduate and law school (Go Irish!). She brings the same attributes of common sense, dedication and hard work to each case, collaborating with clients to achieve business-minded and individualized solutions. Her team assists clients throughout the country - in all 50 Lewis Brisbois offices - with local, national and international issues related to commercial freight transport, warehousing and self-storage, as well as household goods transport. Her team handles legal issues involving hazardous materials, refrigerated reefers, time-sensitive agriculture, lien disputes, collection of tariffs and transportation charges, as well as freight loss and damage claims. Julie routinely deals with claims and defenses related to the Carmack Amendment, Federal Aviation Administration Authorization Act, Carriage of Goods by Sea Act, Montreal Convention / Warsaw Convention, Federal Food and Drug Transportation Law, Food Safety and Modernization Act, and the Uniform Commercial Code, among others.

Julie has numerous published legal decisions (state and federal) in courts throughout the country, routinely authors transportation articles for national publications, and frequently lectures on emerging legal trends as well as practical transportation tips for clients. Julie has been recognized for Arizona's most significant defense verdicts on multiple occasions, appointed as a Judge Pro Tem for the Superior Court of Arizona, named to Arizona's Finest Lawyers, recognized as 40 Under 40 (Phoenix Business Journal), received the Award of Professional Distinction (Missouri S&T), inducted to the Athletic Hall of Fame (University of Missouri-Rolla), graduated from the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy (Stanford Law School), recognized repeatedly as a Southwest Super Lawyer, and serves on numerous local and national legal and non-profit boards.
