Various stakeholders in the cryptocurrency sphere attending the Delta Summit which was held in Malta between the third and the fifth October, have expressed their confidence in Malta being at the forefront of the ever developing crypto regulatory sphere. Stakeholders have stated that Malta offers significant advantages over its competitors due to the access it offers to the single market and as a member of the European Union.

Other contenders such as Gibraltar and Switzerland where also discussed, however they were regularly rejected by the interested parties due to them not offering the same European security and access to the single market such as Malta. As stated by Will Roman, chief operating officer of the highly anticipated LXDX exchange "uncertainty is something to be avoided". LXDX is founded by former SpaceX engineer Joshua Greenwald, and is a cryptocurrency exchange seeking to make the nascent asset class more accessible to institutional investors while also providing individual investors with professional-grade trading tools.
