The LIRS has recently released a new form for the filing of income tax returns under the self-assessment scheme.
The form titled the "Income Tax Form for Return of Income and Claims for Allowances and Reliefs" also known as "Form A" can be picked up by individuals and employers from any of the LIRS local tax stations in Lagos State.
The changes introduced include mandatory disclosure of rent paid and details of landlord where the taxpayer is a tenant.
The new form is effective immediately.
