Changes to the Bulgarian Labour Code, announced on 17 July 2015 in the State Gazette, affect various aspects of the legislation as outlined below.

The announced changes impact the use of paid leave, flexible working time, work of minors from 16 to 18 years of age, termination of the labour relationship with employees who have acquired pension rights, storage of employer's dossier, reduction of the administrative burden to the enterprises and so on.

An important novelty in the labour legislation that provokes interest is the introduction of the single-day labour agreement, which is applicable for short-term seasonal work in the agriculture sector only.

All amendments are already in force and all employers must take them into account in their activity.
