On November 4th, 2016, the National Agency of Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection in the Hydrocarbons Sector (“ASEA”) published in the Federal Official Gazette the General Administrative Provisions that establish the Guidelines to inform the occurrence of incidents and accidents to the ASEA.

These provisions indicate that the Incident and Accident Information System is the main channel through which Regulated Entities shall inform of the occurrence, development, and control of such events.

Likewise, it sets forth and Incident and Accident classification in accordance with the severity of the events, as well as a series of notices that the Regulated Entities must file under different circumstances, attaching certain forms for such purposes.
