On Friday June 17th, 2016, the Ministry of Energy published in the Federal Official Gazette the Agreement issuing the short-term Energy Market Handbook applicable to the National Energy Control Center ("CENACE"), the Market participants, the Carriers and the Distributors of the electric industry.
In the short-term Energy Market, energy trading and related services transactions are performed, which will be received and validated by the CENACE. This Handbook will rule the proper functioning and operation of both day-ahead Market and real-time Market.
Through the day-ahead Market, operations will be programed taking in consideration the offers received within the 7 days prior to the corresponding operation day. The purpose of the real-time Market, on the other hand, is to adjust the differences between the transactions performed in the day-ahead Market and the real-time Market conditions.
