On Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016, the Federal Official Gazette published the Notice informing that as of April 1st, 2016, the Ministry of Energy may grant gasoline and diesel import permits to any interested party that meets the applicable legal provisions.
As a result of this notice, the import of gasolines and diesel by agents different from Petróleos Mexicanos and its Productive State-owned Subsidiaries, will be liberated prior to January 1st, 2017, as it was originally contemplated in the Hydrocarbons Law (Ley de Hidrocarburos).
